The 21000 and 24701 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies are available with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approvals. They are rated explosion proof for hazardous areas. Bently Nevada offers a probe support and oil seal (part number 37948-01) for long sleeves that must go through an inner bearing housing.
To externally mount proximity probes, use one of these allmetal Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies: 21000 aluminum probe housing assembly; 24701 stainless steel probe housing assembly The 21000 and 24701 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies consist of the following parts:A dome cover that screws into the body of the housing; Threaded ports for conduit connections; A probe sleeve of optional length; 0-rings; A reverse mount proximity probe; A thread seal; Optional conduit fittings; An optional standoff adapter.

1.Medium-Depth Bearing Housing Monitoring: This 12.6-inch sleeve is custom-sized to bypass intermediate design layers. It is particularly suitable when standard shorter sleeves cannot reach the shaft due to excessively deep bearing housings, internal structural supports, or oil guides.
2.Large Steam and Gas Turbines (Traditional Systems): This sleeve is commonly used in power plants to measure radial vibration or axial position (thrust) of older steam turbine generator sets. These units typically use the conventional 3300 Series 8mm eddy current sensor system (rather than the newer 3300 XL).
3.Traditional Equipment Overhaul and Precision Matching Replacement: Because this sleeve uses the conventional 3300 8mm probe, it is primarily intended as a spare part, directly replaceable during power plant maintenance (MRO). This avoids the need to recalibrate or replace already connected older 3300 proximity sensors and instrument racks.
4.High Vibration Environments and Limited External Space: Option C = 00 (no extension/bracket adapter) allows the heavy-duty aluminum junction box to be flush with the machine's exterior surface. This minimizes the leverage effect under high machine vibration, prevents parts from loosening or cracking due to mechanical fatigue, and is also suitable for confined spaces outside the chassis.
