The 21000 and 24701 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies are available with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approvals. They are rated explosion proof for hazardous areas. Bently Nevada offers a probe support and oil seal (part number 37948-01) for long sleeves that must go through an inner bearing housing.
To externally mount proximity probes, use one of these allmetal Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies: 21000 aluminum probe housing assembly; 24701 stainless steel probe housing assembly The 21000 and 24701 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies consist of the following parts:A dome cover that screws into the body of the housing; Threaded ports for conduit connections; A probe sleeve of optional length; 0-rings; A reverse mount proximity probe; A thread seal; Optional conduit fittings; An optional standoff adapter.
The 21000-16-10-00-167-04-02 Bently Nevada Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

1.Medium to large bearing housing deep hole measurement: Featuring an extra-long 16.7-inch (nearly 43.5 cm) sleeve design, specifically designed to penetrate extremely thick mechanical housings, double-walled shells, or deep-hole oil seals. The probe must penetrate deep into the internal space to accurately contact the rotating shaft near the internal bearing.
2.Large centrifugal compressors and flue gas turbines: In these types of equipment, due to their heavy external cylinders or high-pressure housings and complex internal flow channels, sensors require extremely long physical depths to reach the radial or axial thrust measurement points.
3.Advanced Unit Condition Monitoring System (TSI) upgrade/maintenance: This component uses the older, classic 3300 model 8 mm probe (Option 16), whose linear range matches that of the older 3300 model proximity probe. The most common application is field replacement of spare parts for large, critical rotating machinery that has been in operation for 10 to 20 years or more and has not yet been fully upgraded to the 3300 XL system.
