Information

Overview Manuals Principle Core Industrial Applications

Features:

  • PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer Assembly
  • Similar to our 31000/32000 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies
  • Made of Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), which is an advanced, molded thermoplastic
The assembly offers the same advantages and features as the 31000 and 32000 housings for accessing and externally adjusting proximity probes. However, the housing cover of the PROXPAC XL Assembly also contains its own 3300 XL Proximitor sensor.

This design makes the PROXPAC XL Assembly a completely self-contained proximity probe system, and eliminates the need for an extension cable between the probe and its associated Proximitor sensor. It also eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing, as the field wiring connects directly between the monitors and PROXPAC XL Assemblies.

The 330881-28-00-050-03-02 Bently Nevada PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The PROXPAC XL housing is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), an advanced molding thermoplastic material. This material replaces the steel and aluminum used in previous housings in the Bently Nevada product line. Furthermore, glass fiber and conductive fibers are added to the PPS to enhance housing strength and more effectively dissipate static charge. The PROXPAC XL housing meets Type 4X and IP66 protection ratings, providing extra protection in harsh environments.
Rotating Machinery Protection: Used to monitor radial vibration and axial (thrust) position in machinery employing hydrodynamic bearings, such as large centrifugal compressors, steam turbines and gas turbines, industrial pumps, and high-speed generators.

Harsh Environments: With an IP66 and 4X protection rating, this component is ideal for equipment exposed to high humidity, corrosive substances, or water jet impacts, such as offshore platforms, chemical plants, and oil refineries.

Space-Constrained Installation: Because the sensor is integrated into the probe housing, there is no need for separate extension cables and separate proximity sensor housings, simplifying installation in confined or remote areas.

Critical Phasor and Rotational Speed Sensing: Can be used as a critical phasor reference, providing the critical time signals required for vibration analysis and rotational speed measurement.
