The Bently Nevada 3500/42M 176449-02 is a four-channel monitor that conditions signals from compatible proximity and seismic transducers for machinery protection and condition information. Its channels are programmed in pairs, enabling a supported measurement function on channels 1-2 and another or the same function on channels 3-4. Depending on the selected channel type, the module reports vibration, position or related static values and compares them with configured alarm setpoints. Front-panel buffered outputs provide access to the individual transducer signals, while recorder outputs provide scaled current signals. The actual sensor interface is determined by a separate rear I/O module, including standard, barrier, Prox/Velom and shaft-absolute options. A correct replacement therefore requires the monitor, rear interface, transducer sensitivity, channel setup and firmware capability to be reviewed as one configuration.

Choose the rear I/O from the manufacturer transducer table. Current guidance distinguishes Seismoprobe-oriented 128229/128240 options from the 140471/140482 Prox/Velom options and separately lists barrier and shaft-absolute modules.
Channels 1-2 and 3-4 are programmed in pairs. Select the required function, sensitivity, filters and alarm settings, and verify the firmware requirements for advanced measurement types.
Per-channel 4-20 mA recorder values represent monitor full scale and support 0-600 Ω loads. Front coaxial buffered signals serve a different diagnostic role and should not be confused with recorder wiring.
