Function & Configuration
Features:
- Single‐acting reverse (relay B)
- Relay Assembly, (includes shroud, relay seal, mounting screws)
- Single-acting reverse. When the electronic control signal decreases, the relay increases its pneumatic output to move the valve actuator
38B5786X092 is a high-performance pneumatic amplifier relay assembly (Relay Assembly B) manufactured by Fisher/Emerson. As a critical control accessory, it is specifically designed for the Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200 and DVC6205 series digital valve positioners. This module features a single-acting reverse design and a standard bleed configuration. Its primary function is to receive weak pneumatic signals from the positioner's core control unit and linearly amplify them to a pressure sufficient to drive the single-acting pneumatic actuator, thereby ensuring precise valve positioning.
In the field of industrial process control, the 38B5786X092 offers advantages such as fast response speed and good calibration stability. This component integrates a housing, relay seal, and mounting screws, allowing for compact installation within the Type B housing of a positioner (suitable for most actuators except the GX type). Its reverse control characteristics are crucial for meeting specific process safety requirements.
The 38B5786X092 Emerson Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200f Digital Valve Controller may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

If a relay has been replaced due to a diagnostic alarm in the ValveLink software, common symptoms include: Leakage: Aging internal O-rings or seals can cause an unexpected drop in diagnostic pressure. Slow response: Debris clogging the internal pilot valve or main valve spool can slow valve travel or trigger a "Relay Position" error code.
Action type: Single-acting, reverse-biased. When the electronic control signal weakens, the relay increases its pneumatic output to drive the valve actuator.
Relief rate: Standard relief configuration. Housing size: Designed for installation in a Type B housing, compatible with all compatible control valve actuators except for the Fisher GX series (Type A housing required).
Included hardware: This assembly includes the necessary housing, relay seals, and mounting screws for direct mounting into a digital positioner manifold.
