CC-PUIO01 is a Honeywell Experion Series C universal input/output module. Up to 32 channels can be configured individually for analog input, analog output, digital input or digital output. Analog channels support HART 7, and channels 15 through 18 can be configured for pulse input. Honeywell's May 2026 lifecycle update places this model and its CC-TUIO01/CC-TUIO11 IOTAs in Phase Out status.
CC-PUIO01 is the Series C universal I/O IOM for mixed analog and discrete signals. Each available channel can be assigned as analog input, analog output, digital input or digital output, subject to module loading and the installed wiring arrangement. Honeywell documents HART 7 on analog channels and pulse input on channels 15 through 18. Analog input uses 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA ranges with 16-bit conversion and a 50 ms scan; analog output uses a 4-20 mA operating range with 12-bit resolution and a 700-ohm maximum load.
The IOTA and lifecycle boundary are part of replacement planning. CC-TUIO01 is the nonredundant 12-inch IOTA and CC-TUIO11 is the redundant 18-inch IOTA; those nominal lengths apply to the IOTA assemblies rather than the plug-in module or shipment. Honeywell's May 2026 update places CC-PUIO01, CC-TUIO01 and CC-TUIO11 in Phase Out status. Spares remain listed for the installed base, but this hardware is not approved for greenfield or brownfield expansion. Preserve the channel database, field wiring, HART assignments, pulse assignments and redundancy design during replacement.
Each available channel can be configured for analog input, analog output, digital input or digital output, subject to the documented module-loading rules and the installed IOTA wiring. Confirm every channel personality, field-power source, terminal assignment and safe-state requirement against the control database before replacing the module.
Analog input and analog output channels support HART 7. Channels 15 through 18 can be configured as pulse inputs from 0 to 10 kHz with a 50 microsecond minimum pulse width. Verify that HART assets, pulse scaling, filtering, alarm limits and historian tags are preserved during commissioning.
Honeywell's May 2026 lifecycle table lists CC-PUIO01 with CC-TUIO01 or CC-TUIO11 as Phase Out and not allowed for greenfield or brownfield expansion. The listed expansion path is CC-PUIO31 with CC-TUIO31 or CC-TUIO41 on Experion R432 and above. This is a controlled migration path, not evidence of an unrestricted drop-in replacement; software release, IOTA, wiring and channel configuration require engineering review.
Assign each installed point as AI, AO, DI or DO in agreement with the field circuit and control database. Reserve channels 15 through 18 when pulse input is required and confirm HART 7 device assignments on analog channels. Pair the module with CC-TUIO01 for nonredundant service or CC-TUIO11 for redundant service; verify keying, terminal map, field power and the calculated module load before installation.
Treat replacement as installed-base maintenance for Phase Out hardware. Record all channel personalities, pulse scaling, HART assets, safe-state values, alarms and redundancy settings before removal. For an expansion or migration, Honeywell lists CC-PUIO31 with CC-TUIO31 or CC-TUIO41 only for Experion R432 and above. Obtain engineering approval for the software, IOTA, wiring and database conversion, then function-test every affected channel before return to service.
