Honeywell MC-TAOY22 is the conformally coated field termination assembly for sixteen PAOY22 analog output circuits. It uses compression terminals and includes the documented standby-manual connection. The manufacturer lists the arrangement for single or redundant applications; it is not a processor by itself. When connected to the specified processor, the system supports 4-20 mA outputs and a maximum resistive load of 750 ohms at 20 mA with the 24 V supply at 20 V.
The size-B footprint measures 307.3 mm by 120.65 mm, so mounting-channel space and wire access should be checked before replacement. Honeywell specifies a maximum 20 ms gap at zero current during redundant failover and once-per-minute switching-hardware diagnostics for this output arrangement. The TAOY22 termination belongs to the PAOY22 sixteen-output system and supports the documented redundancy arrangement. During failover, the specified zero-current gap is no more than 20 ms. Evaluate the receiving valve or actuator response to that transition within the approved process-control design.
The standby-manual connection distinguishes TAOY22 from the TAOY23 version that omits this facility. Record the installed manual-control equipment and its wiring before changing the FTA. The presence of the connector does not mean a manual station, cable or operating procedure is included in the supplied board.
For the specified processor/FTA combination, the maximum resistive load is 750 ohms at 20 mA with the 24 V supply reduced to 20 V. Allow for field wiring and receiver resistance when assessing the loop. Do not treat the maximum current limit as a normal actuator command.
