MC-TDIA12 is a conformally coated Honeywell PM I/O termination assembly for 32 isolated 120 V AC digital inputs. Its compression terminals connect field status circuits to compatible digital-input or sequence-of-events processors.
The MC-TDIA12 is a 32-circuit field termination assembly for isolated 120 V AC digital input service. Its field voltage class is an essential selection characteristic: it is not a 24 V DC input board and it is not an output relay assembly. Honeywell lists the TDIA12 termination with the PDIX02 digital input processor and the PDIS12 sequence-of-events processor. The MC designation identifies the conformally coated version of this FTA family.
Field wires connect through compression terminals, while a phone-style FTA cable connects the assembly to the I/O processor. The size-C board measures 462.28 mm in length and 120.65 mm in width, so cabinet space and cable access should be checked before replacement. Sequence-of-events capability depends on the PDIS12 processor and the configured system; the termination board alone does not supply an event recorder. Reconcile the complete assembly marking and field voltage against the installed drawings before energization.
This termination is intended for 120 V AC digital input circuits. Verify the actual field source and the approved input wiring before connection. Neither the 32-circuit count nor similar board dimensions makes a 24 V DC or 240 V AC termination interchangeable with it.
The manufacturer matrix lists both ordinary digital-input and sequence-of-events processor pairings. Use the installed PDIX02 or PDIS12 designation to determine the applicable system behavior. Event resolution, time synchronization and database configuration must be checked in the processor and system documentation, not inferred from the FTA label.
The MC version includes conformal coating, but coating is not an electrical isolation rating or permission for exposed installation. Maintain the approved enclosure and clearances, and inspect the field terminals and cable connection. Select the assembly by its complete marking rather than the appearance of its protective finish.
The specified field range is 90-132 V AC RMS at 47-63 Hz. ON pickup requires at least 90 V AC RMS and a minimum 3.5 mA sense current; the stated OFF limits are 25 V AC RMS and 1.5 mA maximum. Honeywell specifies optical field-to-system isolation of 1500 V AC RMS or +/-1500 V DC and a maximum 25 ms filter-and-isolation delay. Apply the approved AC wiring and isolation procedure during replacement.
The FTA supplies the field interface; the connected processor supplies input processing. A PDIS12-based installation can provide the documented sequence-of-events function, whereas an ordinary digital-input configuration must not be described as equivalent without system verification. Check processor type, event configuration, timing requirements and alarm behavior against the actual installed project before accepting the replacement.
MC-TDIA12 is documented in Honeywell IO03-684 for the installed TPS Process Manager I/O platform. This specification establishes the termination function and compatible hardware, but is not a current model-specific lifecycle notice; no Active or Discontinued designation is asserted without that notice.
Moore Automated can check supply options for the exact MC-TDIA12 51304439-175 record, including board condition, conformally coated construction and connector form. Any substitute or migration requires review of the installed processor, FTA cabling and field wiring; availability does not establish OEM support status.
