MU-TAOY22 is a Honeywell 16-circuit analog output field termination assembly for the PAOY22 processor family. It uses compression terminals and supports the documented redundant arrangement and standby-manual connection.
Honeywell MU-TAOY22 is the compression-terminal field assembly for 16 analog outputs associated with the PAOY22 I/O processor family. The manufacturer ordering table expressly restricts this FTA to that processor family. Its provision for redundant operation and standby-manual connection is part of the documented output arrangement; it is not a self-contained controller or an analog output processor. The MU model is the uncoated version, distinct from the coated MC offering.
Output replacement work needs to account for the field device as well as the cabinet hardware. Record the installed processor pair, output assignments and any standby-manual wiring before disturbing the termination. The size-B board is 307.3 mm long by 120.65 mm wide and differs from the screw-terminal TAOY52 option. Maintaining an output during processor maintenance requires the complete approved manual-control arrangement and procedure; a standby-manual connector by itself does not guarantee uninterrupted control of the process.
The assembly terminates 16 analog output circuits for PAOY22 processors. Match every loop to the field device and the configured channel before reconnection. The FTA does not independently set output range, accuracy or fail behavior; those depend on the processor and the installed control configuration.
A standby-manual connection is supported in the documented TAOY22 arrangement. Establish which manual station, cables and operating procedure are actually installed before relying on it during maintenance. Do not assume the connector means that the process output can be interrupted or transferred safely without an approved plan.
Honeywell specifies TAOY22 for PAOY22 processors only. Verify both processor identities in a redundant installation and preserve the existing cable arrangement. Similar analog-output channel counts are not evidence that a PAOX-family processor or another termination can be used in its place.
Select the termination as part of the full PAOY22 output path, including processor configuration, FTA cables, field wiring and any manual-control equipment. Check that the installed arrangement is single or redundant as intended. Redundant-capable hardware does not establish that redundancy is configured or that both paths are healthy; verify the relevant diagnostics and output behavior after replacement.
Before service, identify the affected valves or actuators and agree on the process response with qualified operating personnel. Use the approved standby-manual arrangement where provided, and verify its role rather than assuming a generic hold-last-output behavior. Preserve channel labels and loop polarity, then confirm commanded and observed field responses using the site commissioning procedure.
MU-TAOY22 is documented in Honeywell IO03-684 for the installed TPS Process Manager I/O platform. This specification establishes the termination function and compatible hardware, but is not a current model-specific lifecycle notice; no Active or Discontinued designation is asserted without that notice.
Moore Automated can check supply options for the exact MU-TAOY22 51204172-125 record, including board condition, uncoated construction and connector form. Any substitute or migration requires review of the installed processor, FTA cabling and field wiring; availability does not establish OEM support status.
