MU-TAOX02 is the compact Honeywell PM I/O field termination assembly for eight analog outputs associated with MC-PAOX03. Compression terminals and a size-A footprint distinguish it from the larger redundant TAOX12 arrangement.
The Honeywell MU-TAOX02 is an eight-circuit analog output field termination assembly used with the MC-PAOX03 processor in the PM I/O compatibility matrix. It provides compression terminals for field wiring and uses the phone-connector style identified in the manufacturer ordering table. Its role is the physical output termination, rather than the signal-processing or control algorithm. Output range, accuracy and operating behavior should therefore be taken from the compatible processor and the configured system, not invented as independent FTA ratings.
This is the compact size-A, nonredundant arrangement, measuring 152.4 mm long by 120.65 mm wide. The larger TAOX12 termination addresses a different redundancy configuration, and the TAOY family belongs to a different output processor architecture. Record the installed field loop assignments, processor cable and any manual-control arrangement before service. The uncoated MU construction must also match the cabinet environmental requirement; a similar coated assembly should only be selected after the full mechanical and electrical configuration is checked.
The eight field circuits belong to the PAOX03 analog output arrangement. Confirm the processor and field loop assignments before transferring wires. Do not use the FTA terminal count as evidence of output accuracy or range, and do not confuse this board with the sixteen-output PAOY family.
Honeywell distinguishes TAOX02 from the larger TAOX12 redundant termination. The compact size-A board is not a direct mechanical equivalent of the size-B option. Review the existing processor arrangement, FTA cables and mounting space before proposing a change between the two layouts.
After replacement, verify each affected loop against the configured output assignment and the receiving field device. Check polarity and the approved control response using the site commissioning procedure. A successful processor diagnostic does not establish that the field wiring and actuator response are correct.
Trace the existing FTA cable to the MC-PAOX03 processor and match all eight loop assignments to the field wiring schedule. Preserve the installed protective and shielding arrangements and account for any manual-control equipment. Do not substitute a sixteen-channel output termination or a redundant FTA without checking the complete processor, cable and cabinet configuration.
The 152.4 mm by 120.65 mm size-A board requires adequate access for compression terminals and the processor cable. Record conductor positions and the approved output state before service, then isolate the relevant circuits as required by the site procedure. Restore the identified wiring and verify the field response of the affected loops before returning the process to normal control.
MU-TAOX02 is documented in Honeywell IO03-684 for the installed TPS Process Manager I/O platform. This specification establishes the termination function and compatible hardware, but is not a current model-specific lifecycle notice; no Active or Discontinued designation is asserted without that notice.
Moore Automated can check supply options for the exact MU-TAOX02 51304476-125 record, including board condition, uncoated construction and connector form. Any substitute or migration requires review of the installed processor, FTA cabling and field wiring; availability does not establish OEM support status.
