The C98043-A7005-L1 (Siemens order number: 6RY1704-0AA00) is the core PMU (Parameterized Unit) control panel of the Siemens SIMOREG 6RA70 series DC speed controller. As the core of the human-machine interface of this speed control system, it is mainly used for field equipment commissioning, parameter configuration, real-time monitoring of operating status, and display of fault alarm codes. Maintenance personnel can directly modify and reset the core parameters of the DC drive without an external host.
In addition, this circuit board integrates key communication interfaces and basic control buttons, and is typically equipped with a 5-digit LED display and a dedicated USS/RS232/RS485 serial communication bus interface (such as G-SST1) for connecting to more advanced OP1S operation panels or PC-based debugging software (such as DriveMonitor). It acts as a bridge in the drive system, not only receiving local digital input commands but also converting key data from the DC speed controller (such as armature voltage, current, and speed feedback) into intuitive digital visualizations.

The industrial engineering team must rely on remaining seal inventory or specialized electronic component repair services to maintain the 6RA70 DC drive system.
For comprehensive external monitoring, in-depth troubleshooting, or complete replacement of faulty PMU panels, factories typically use the Siemens OP1S (Storable Operation Panel 1) handheld module. The OP1S can be plugged into the driver's serial port, thus bypassing the damaged integrated PMU display.
