Features:
- SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES FOND DE PANIER LBA POUR BOITIER ELECTRONIQUE
- Local Bus Adapter (LBA) specifically for the SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES series
- It is a key interface board used to connect and facilitate communication between the electronics boxes within the drive chassis
Its primary function is to be mounted on the back of the drive electronics box, providing the necessary electrical connections and mechanical support interfaces for various optional boards (such as the CBP2 communication board, EB1/EB2 terminal expansion board, or ADB adapter board).
As the foundation for system expansion, it allows users to flexibly integrate Profibus, CAN bus protocols, or additional pulse encoder interfaces according to application requirements.
The 6SE7090-0XX84-4HA0 Siemens Local Bus Adapter unit may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Instead of containing a complex logic processor, it achieves a physical extension of the internal local bus through a precisely designed printed circuit board and multi-pin connectors. When the option board is inserted into the adapter, the LBA connects to the backplane bus of the electronic housing via contacts on its back, linearly distributing control signals, synchronization clocks, and power supply voltages to each slot. This transparent physical layer transition ensures synchronized data exchange between the option board and the control unit with extremely low latency.
This adapter is typically used in established industrial facilities still operating traditional Siemens drive systems:
- Coordinated Drive Systems: Used in production lines where multiple inverters are connected to a common DC bus for energy exchange.
- High-Performance Motion Control: Used in industries such as metal processing, paper mills, and textile manufacturing, where dedicated technology boards are required to maintain precise tension and speed control.
- Networked Automation: This adapter is essential for any MASTERDRIVES unit that requires remote control via a PLC through a fieldbus interface.
