The core function of this module is as an execution unit in a frequency converter system. Working in conjunction with a control unit (such as the CU240E-2), it achieves precise control of motor speed and torque. This module is widely used in conveyors, pumps, fans, and simple positioning applications.
In terms of performance and protection, this module features flexible overload characteristics, capable of withstanding instantaneous current surges of up to 200% under heavy load conditions. It integrates multiple safety monitoring mechanisms, including overvoltage/undervoltage protection, short-circuit protection, and overheat monitoring, ensuring stable operation in harsh industrial environments.

This power module employs a typical AC-DC-AC converter structure. First, it converts 380-480V AC power into stable DC power through a three-phase bridge rectifier circuit and stores it in intermediate circuit capacitors. Then, its internal inverter bridge uses IGBT power devices for high-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) to convert the DC power back into frequency and voltage adjustable three-phase AC power according to the control unit's instructions, thereby changing the motor speed. During motor deceleration and braking, the generated regenerative energy is dissipated to an external resistor through a built-in braking chopper to maintain the stability of the DC bus voltage.
This power module is designed for "standard applications" in general mechanical manufacturing and process control:
