Features:
- SIPLUS ET 200M active bus module
- Based on 6ES7195-7HD10-0XA0 with conformal coating, -40…+70 °C, start up -25 °C
- Active module bus base designed for holding 2 x IM 153-2 high-feature interface modules in a redundant configuration
The primary function of this module is to support redundant integrated installation of dual-interface modules (IM 153-2) in Siemens distributed I/O systems. It allows two IM 153-2 interface modules to be inserted into the same base simultaneously, creating a highly available (fault-tolerant) PROFIBUS-DP bus communication link.
Its key advantage lies in its support for hot-swapping (plug and play). This means that during PLC system operation, operators can directly replace damaged interface modules without power interruption, ensuring "zero-interruption" operation of industrial field communication.
The 6AG1195-7HD10-2XA0 Siemens Active bus module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Altitude during operation relating to sea level
1.Installation altitude above sea level, max.: 5 000 m
2.Ambient air temperature-barometric pressure-altitude: Tmin ... Tmax at 1 140 hPa ... 795 hPa (-1 000 m ... +2 000 m) // Tmin ... (Tmax
- 10 K) at 795 hPa ... 658 hPa (+2 000 m ... +3 500 m) // Tmin ... (Tmax -20 K)
at 658 hPa ... 540 hPa (+3 500 m ... +5 000 m)
The module's proactive architecture determines its role in high-availability systems:
Smooth communication failover: The module is equipped with a primary communication interface and a backup communication interface. If the primary IM 153-2 module fails or goes offline, the backplane immediately switches the fieldbus link (PROFIBUS/PROFINET) to the backup module within milliseconds, ensuring uninterrupted process data transmission.
Power-off maintenance (hot-swappable): Allows for the complete removal and insertion of communication nodes during system operation without interrupting power to adjacent I/O modules on the rack or interfering with the fieldbus ring topology.
Deployment in harsh environments: Because the module is manufactured to Siemens SIPLUS extreme ruggedization standards, it outperforms standard SIMATIC hardware when the backplane must withstand extremely low temperatures, high altitudes, or highly corrosive environments.
