Information

Overview Manuals Operating principle Key Industrial Applications

Features:

  • 990 Vibration Transmitter
  • Integrated Proximitor Sensor requires no external unit
  • Test Input pin for quick verification of loop signal output, using a function generator as the input
The 990 Vibration Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system.

The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).

The 990-05-70-03-01 Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
Bently Nevada 990-05-70-03-01 990 Vibration Transmitter Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The transmitter conditions the signal into appropriate peakto-peak vibration amplitude engineering units, and provides this value as a proportional 4 to 20 mA industry-standard signal as the input to the control system where machinery protection alarming and logic occurs.
1. Centrifugal air compressors and air separation units: This is the core application industry for the Type 990 transmitter.
2. Oil & Gas/Petrochemical: In this industry, it is often used for auxiliary monitoring of large equipment (such as large steam turbines) or for independent monitoring of small and medium-sized auxiliary equipment.
3. Power Generation: In power plants, it is used for the safety assurance of auxiliary systems and small and medium-sized auxiliary equipment.
4. Metallurgy and Steel Plants: Applications include large blast furnace blowers, dust collector fans, and rolling mill drive gearboxes.
5. Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment: Applications include large wastewater pumps, aerators, and deep well pumps.
