Features:
- VM600 CPUM and IOCN modular CPU card and input/output card
- Front-panel alarm reset (AR) button
- Communications redundancy with multiple fieldbuses: Ethernet and/or serial
The VM600 CPUM and IOCN modular CPU card, along with input/output cards, form a pair of rack controllers and communication interface cards, which can be used as system controllers and data communication gateways for the VM600 rack-mounted machinery protection system (MPS) and/or condition monitoring system (CMS) in the Meggitt Vibro-Meter® product line.
The CPUM/IOCN card pair is used with the VM600 ABE04x system rack. The CPUM card can be used independently or paired with its associated IOCN card, depending on application/system requirements. The CPUM is a double-width card, occupying two VM600 rack slots. The IOCN is a single-width card, occupying one VM600 slot. The CPUM is installed at the front of the rack (slots 0 and 1). The associated IOCN is installed at the rear of the rack, in a slot directly behind the CPUM (slot 0). Each card connects directly to the rack backplane via two connectors.
The VM600 CPU M 200-595-065-114/200-595-100-013 Vibro-Meter CPU module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The rack controller simplifies the installation, configuration, management, and daily operation of the VM600 machine monitoring system. CPUM/IOCN can manage the configuration of MPC4/IOC4T and AMC8/IOC8T card pairs, including hot-swapping. It can also manage the configuration of XMx16/XIO16T card pairs, eliminating the need for a VibroSight server in some applications.
The VM600 system is widely used in the power generation and oil and gas industries to protect and monitor critical rotating machinery.
Target Equipment: The system monitors high-value assets, including gas turbines, steam turbines, water turbines, generators, compressors, pumps, fans, and motors.
System Management: CPU M provides "one-click" configuration management, allowing users to configure all cards in the rack simultaneously via Ethernet or serial connection.
Data Integration: The system utilizes industry-standard protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP and PROFINET to bridge the gap between raw vibration/mechanical data and plant-wide control systems (DCS or PLC).
Predictive Maintenance: By acquiring and processing high-resolution vibration data, the system enables operators to detect potential signs of failure early, facilitating the development of proactive maintenance plans.
