Overview Manuals Primary Applications Available Operations

Features:

  • Processor Interface Adaptor Module (IRIG-B)
  • Trusted Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Processor
  • Enables decode of IRIG-B002 or IRIG-B122 time synchronisation signals by the Trusted TMR Processor
The Adapter provides easy access to the communications ports of the Trusted Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Processor (T8110B & T8111) in the Controller Chassis for the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other links.

The unit is also used to enable a number of extended facilities available on the Trusted TMR Processor including facilities for the reception of IRIG-B time synchronisation signals, enabling the use of Dual (‘enhanced’) Peer to Peer and enabling the Trusted System to become MODBUS Master.

The T8121C ICS Triplex Trusted TMR Processor Interface Adapter may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
ICS Triplex T8121C Trusted TMR Processor Interface Adapter manual(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
Emergency Shutdown (ESD) System: Connects critical diagnostic telemetry data from safety controllers to the main plant SCADA terminal.

Fire and Gas Systems (F&G): Ensures uninterrupted data pipelines for critical industrial hazardous events.

Critical Interlocking Systems: Manages a robust Modbus master network covering high-integrity chemical, power generation, and petrochemical process loops.
The variants will enable the use of Dual (‘enhanced’) Peer to Peer with other Trusted Systems, using the dxpnc40 I/O definition and its associated data transfer I/O definitions.

Ask our team:

  • What is the principal operational function of the T8121C within the ICS Triplex Trusted Power System framework?
The T8121C serves as a dedicated DC Power Supply Module, delivering a highly stable 24 V DC output with precision regulation, ensuring uninterrupted power for Trusted controllers and associated safety-critical instrumentation.
  • How does the T8121C ensure stringent voltage regulation and low output ripple amidst dynamic load fluctuations?
Employing sophisticated closed-loop feedback and filtering circuitry, the T8121C maintains voltage output within a tolerance of ±1%, while restricting ripple to below 100 mV peak-to-peak, thus guaranteeing power quality compatible with sensitive control electronics.
  • How does the modular design of the T8121C contribute to system redundancy and enhance overall Trusted Power System reliability?
The T8121C operates synergistically within a triplex redundant architecture, enabling load sharing and seamless failover, thereby upholding SIL-3 compliance through continuous, fail-safe power delivery.
  • Which diagnostic and monitoring functionalities are embedded in the T8121C to facilitate real-time system health assessment?
The T8121C continuously monitors output voltage, current, internal temperature, and module status, delivering real-time alarms and diagnostic signals compatible with Trusted system supervisory units for proactive maintenance.
  • How does the T8121C comply with stringent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements in electrically harsh environments?
Designed per IEC 61000-6-2 (immunity) and IEC 61000-6-4 (emissions) standards, the T8121C integrates advanced shielding and filtering techniques to minimize conducted and radiated interference.
  • How does the T8121C mitigate risk of power supply failure through internal fault isolation and redundancy?
Incorporating electronic current limiting and output channel fault isolation, the T8121C prevents fault propagation and allows parallel operation to avoid single points of failure in power distribution.
