Profibus Redundancy Link Module for PROFIBUS line redundancy Converts a non-redundant PROFIBUS line to two redundant RS485 lines or vice versa. Germanischer Lloyd (GL) certified (cat. A,B,C,D) in connection with power supply filter (3BDZ000397R1)
This is a PROFIBUS redundant link module designed specifically for industrial automation systems such as System 800xA and Freelance. As an active switch, it can convert one PROFIBUS line into two redundant RS485 lines (and vice versa), thereby ensuring high availability of core communications.
The RLM02 3BSE091723R1 ABB PROFIBUS Redundancy Link Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

High Availability: Protects the communication topology from unexpected master-slave path interruptions or cable damage.
Diagnostics: Built-in LED indicators clearly display status feedback, such as line activity, power configuration, and internal error conditions.
Standard Connectors: Seamlessly integrates with standard PROFIBUS DP connectors with integrated ON/OFF termination switches.
Due to its high reliability and DNV GL marine certification, the RLM02 is widely used in industries where sudden communication outages could lead to catastrophic process failures or hazardous safety hazards:
1.Oil & Gas/Petrochemical: Connecting remote emergency shutdown (ESD) systems and gas analyzers.
2.Marine & Offshore: Ship propulsion monitoring and power distribution systems.
3.Power Generation: Connecting steam/gas turbine control systems and generator exciters.
4.Water & Wastewater Treatment: Connecting geographically dispersed pumping stations via long-distance cables.
