The 1794-PS13 supports installation methods for the entire PowerFlex I/O system. It supports daisy-chaining of the power output to power supported adapters and can be used with both AC and DC modules. The power supply has a built-in indicator light that illuminates green when the output voltage is above 20.4V DC but below 28V DC; the indicator light turns off when the power supply is not powered, the output voltage exceeds 35V DC, the overvoltage protection is activated, or the output current exceeds 1.4A.
  1. Powering Communication Adapters: Its primary function is to provide sufficient current (1.3 A) to operate up to four adapter modules (e.g., EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, or DeviceNet adapters).
  2. Industrial Rack Applications: Designed for Class 2 contamination industrial environments, typically mounted on DIN rails or walls within control cabinets.
  3. Distributed I/O Support: Supports the "NetLinx" architecture by powering modular components that connect field devices and the main controller (PLC/DCS).
  4. Space-Constrained Installations: Suitable for applications where rack-mount power supplies are too bulky; its compact size allows it to be placed directly next to I/O modules.
