The MMLB01 is a modular interface board designed specifically for industrial automation systems, providing reliable communication between field devices and a central control processor. As a signal conditioning and routing platform, it ensures the accurate transmission and reception of discrete input and output signals within the automation network. Its robust design provides excellent immunity to electrical noise and voltage transients, making it suitable for harsh manufacturing and process control environments.
In addition to its basic signal interface functions, the MMLB01 enhances system scalability and maintainability. Its modular structure facilitates easy installation, replacement, and integration with other control modules, supporting efficient diagnostics and minimizing downtime. This makes it a key component for maintaining the continuous and reliable operation of automation systems.
The MMLB01 Alstom TEST PLUG RELAY may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The MMLB01 operates by receiving input signals from sensors or switches, conditioning them, and transmitting the verified signals to the control system for processing. Simultaneously, it receives output commands from the controller and converts them into electrical signals to drive connected devices. Through this bidirectional signal processing, the MMLB01 ensures precise real-time control and monitoring, supporting the accurate and reliable operation of industrial automation processes.
Secondary Injection Testing: Allows technicians to directly inject test current and voltage into protective relays or devices without damaging permanent wiring.
Protective Device Isolation: Upon insertion, the plug automatically disconnects the internal contacts of the MMLG test module, effectively isolating the relay from the energized system for maintenance or calibration.
Substation and Power Plant Maintenance: Widely used in high-voltage substations, power plants, and electrical engineering projects for routine functional checks of protective devices.
Process Automation: Used in petrochemical and manufacturing plants to monitor and manage loads, ensuring equipment operates within safe parameter ranges.
