Product Information:

The B&R X20CP1485-1 is the high-performance embedded PLC main control CPU module in the X20 series. As the flagship product of the X20 series, this module excels in both hardware computing power and physical configuration, featuring a 400MHz high-specification low-power processor, 128MB of built-in DDR2 memory, and 512KB of non-volatile flash memory (NVRAM). Its core computing power and data storage capacity are twice that of its predecessor (such as the CP1484-1).

The X20CP1485-1's front panel integrates a standard Ethernet interface, a POWERLINK industrial real-time Ethernet interface, two USB interfaces, and an RS232 serial port. Furthermore, it supports expanding the system operating system and large recipe programs via CF card, boasting extremely high data throughput.

In industrial real-time control and bus network construction, the X20CP1485-1 acts as the control brain, responsible for complex multi-axis synchronization and high-frequency signal processing. Leveraging its natively integrated POWERLINK real-time Ethernet technology, it can perfectly handle demanding motion control algorithms such as high-speed flying shears, electronic gears, and hydraulic closed-loop servos, achieving microsecond-level ultra-low jitter and extremely high determinism.

Information

Overview Manuals Industrial Applications

Features:

  • Intel Celeron 400 Performance with additional I/O processor
  • Ethernet, POWERLINK and USB onboard
  • CompactFlash as removable application memory
The X20CP1485-1 is a powerful CPU for the X20 System. This CPU is especially useful for applications that require short cycle times, have to process very large amounts of data, or carry out floating point operations. Ethernet and USB are onboard. In addition, the CPU has a POWERLINK connection for real-time communication. The only differences from the X20CP3485-1 are that the X20CP1485-1 only has one slot for interface modules and a smaller width. The two CPU models X20CP1485 and X20CP1485-1 differ only by SDRAM size.

Furthermore, in terms of harsh environment adaptability and field maintenance design, this CPU employs a completely fanless passive cooling structure with no easily damaged mechanical parts, capable of withstanding industrial-grade temperatures from 0°C to +55°C, completely eliminating the risk of overheating shutdown due to external dust.

The X20CP1485-1 B&R Powerful CPU for the X20 System may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
