Bently Nevada identifies the 21505 family as the armored 8 mm standard-mount probe for the 7200 5 mm and 8 mm proximity transducer system. It uses a 3/8-24 case and stainless-steel lead armor. In the complete code 21505-00-28-05-02, the 00 option specifies zero unthreaded length, 28 specifies a 2.8 in case, 05 specifies a 0.5 m total cable length, and 02 supplies the miniature male coaxial connector. The 7200 system is a non-contacting gap-to-voltage arrangement for static and dynamic displacement measurement. Probe, extension cable and Proximitor must be selected as a matched five- or nine-metre electrical system. Because this is a legacy family, mechanical fit and complete loop identity should be documented before replacing an installed probe.

Verify the 3/8-24 mounting depth and cable route, protect the miniature coaxial connection and set the operating point from the live gap signal. Stainless-steel armor adds mechanical protection but should not be sharply bent.
A 7200 loop combines the probe, 21747 extension cable and 18745 Proximitor. The probe and cable lengths must equal the electronics length, so each component number should be recorded before ordering.
