The 330878-51-00 is a 50mm eddy current proximitor sensor from the 3300 XL series manufactured by Bently Nevada. As the core electrical conversion hub of a long-range non-contact measurement system, it provides high-frequency AC excitation energy to the large-diameter 50mm probe in the field and converts the impedance changes returned from the probe end face into a standard dynamic voltage output in real time.

Like all 3300 XL series proximity sensors, the 3300 XL 50mm proximity sensor boasts the same advanced features. Its slim design allows for mounting on high-density DIN rails or using more traditional panel mounting methods. Enhanced RFI/EMI immunity enables the 3300 XL proximity sensor to achieve European CE certification without any special installation. This RFI immunity protects the sensor system from interference from nearby high-frequency radio signals. The SpringLoc terminal block on the proximity sensor allows for faster and safer field wiring without special installation tools.

The large-diameter coil gives the system a maximum linear range of 27.9mm (1100 mil), the longest linear range in our eddy current sensor series. The linear measurement range of the 3300 XL 50 mm sensor system makes it ideal for measuring differential expansion (DE) or rotor expansion (RX) in large steam turbine generators, caused by the difference in expansion rates between the turbine rotor and the generator stator (casing).
