Information

Overview Manuals Principle Core Application

Features:

  • PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer Assembly
  • Similar to our 31000/32000 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies
  • Made of Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), which is an advanced, molded thermoplastic
The assembly offers the same advantages and features as the 31000 and 32000 housings for accessing and externally adjusting proximity probes. However, the housing cover of the PROXPAC XL Assembly also contains its own 3300 XL Proximitor sensor.

This design makes the PROXPAC XL Assembly a completely self-contained proximity probe system, and eliminates the need for an extension cable between the probe and its associated Proximitor sensor. It also eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing, as the field wiring connects directly between the monitors and PROXPAC XL Assemblies.

The 330881-28-16-155-03-02 Bently Nevada PROXPAC Proximity Transducer Assembly may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The PROXPAC XL housing is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), an advanced molding thermoplastic material. This material replaces the steel and aluminum previously used in Bently Nevada's product line. Furthermore, glass fiber and conductive fibers are added to the PPS to enhance housing strength and more effectively dissipate static charge. The PROXPAC XL housing meets Type 4X and IP66 protection ratings, providing extra protection in harsh environments.
PROXPAC XL is designed for machinery in space-constrained or environmentally challenging environments where installing separate sensors and cables is difficult, providing integrated protection.
1. Standalone Monitoring: No separate extension cables or proximity sensor housings are required. Field wiring can be directly connected from the monitoring rack (such as the 3500 Series) to the PROXPAC unit.
2.External Adjustment: Similar to the 32000 Series housing, the probe gap can be adjusted externally without stopping the machine.
3.Harsh Environments: The housing is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), offering chemical and UV resistance with an IP66/4X protection rating.
