Information

Overview Manuals Basic Info Ordering Information Key Technical Specifications

Features:

  • 9200 and 74712 Seismoprobe Velocity Transducers
  • 2-wire shielded 22 AWG (0.5 mm2) armored cable with 2- socket female connector at one end, terminal lugs at the other end
  • Minimum length of 3.0 ft (0.9 m); maximum length of 70 ft (21 m)
Interconnect cables are available for connecting the 9200 and 74712 transducers to other instruments. These cables are available in various lengths with or without stainless steel armor.

Bently Nevada Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wire systems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable. The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wire design that uses moving-coil technology. It provides a voltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity. Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact or impulsive excitation than solid-state velocity transducers, which are inherently accelerometers with embedded integration electronics. Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact or impulsive excitation and can represent a good choice for certain applications. Because they don’t require external power, they are convenient for portable measurement applications.

The 84510-70 Bently Nevada Standard Armored Interconnect Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

1.Mechanical Armor Protection: The outer core wires are encased in a robust yet flexible metal armored conduit. This armor layer effectively protects the internal copper wires from mechanical compression, abrasion, and damage caused by sharp bends in mechanical components.

2.Electrical Shielding: An integrated dedicated grounding wire and metal shielding layer actively shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), maintaining signal purity during long-distance cable transmission.

3.Environmental Resilience: Designed to withstand extreme temperatures, high humidity, chemical solvents, and continuous high-frequency vibrations common in critical mechanical environments.

Technical notes

Bently Nevada's 84510-70 is an industrial-grade heavy-duty transmission cable designed for the 9200 and 74712 series Seismoprobe speed sensor systems. Technical documentation indicates that the component features a dual-core shielded 22 AWG (0.5 mm²) armor construction, with the suffix "-70" indicating a maximum length of 70 feet (approximately 21 meters). One end of the cable is equipped with a dedicated two-pin female connector for a secure connection to the speed sensor; the other end features standard terminals for stable transmission of differential vibration signals (A and B pins are positive) from the mechanical housing to the 3300 or 3500 monitoring system, providing mechanical damage protection and excellent interference immunity in the harsh monitoring environments of large industrial equipment.
