84661-65

Spare Part Number

PN84661-65

Product Information:

The Bently Nevada 84661-65 is a 65-foot (approximately 20-meter) Velomitor interconnect cable. This dedicated cable serves as a critical analog signal path, connecting the Bently Nevada 330500 or 330525 Velomitor piezoelectric speed sensor to a centralized mechanical protection system, such as the 3500 monitoring system housing.

It enables real-time tracking of vibrations in the housing, bearing housing, or structure of critical rotating equipment such as turbines, large pumps, and industrial compressors.

Overview Manuals Crucial Installation Safeguard Standard Cable Lengths

Features:

  • Standard Armored Interconnect Cable
  • 330505 Low Frequency Velocity Sensor
  • Bently Nevada Machinery Condition Monitoring
The Bently Nevada 330505 Low Frequency Velocity Sensor is specifically designed for hydroelectric turbines where slow rotating speeds require detecting a low signal to noise ratio. It detects vibration of the stator core, stator frame, and bearing housing supports. It is designed to provide early warning of pending machinery problems and to help you diagnose problems before they become serious.

The sensor measures absolute vibration within the 0.5Hz to 1.0kHz range. Its two-wire design uses moving-coil technology and embedded signal conditioning circuitry to provide a voltage output directly proportional to the vibration velocity. Stator core and stator frame vibration can cause fretting and damage to the winding insulation. To detect these problems before serious damage occurs, mount a 330505 sensor on the outer diameter of the stator core and frame.

The 84661-65 Bently Nevada Standard Armored Interconnect Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Because the 330505 Velomitor sensor housing integrates internal solid-state signal conditioning logic directly within its core frame, cable routing is critical. Always secure 65-foot cables using rigid conduits or heavy-duty cable trays and isolate physical wiring from high-temperature process piping and high-voltage power supplies to minimize signal attenuation and prevent thermal breakdown.
