MU-TAOX12 is a Honeywell eight-circuit analog output termination assembly for the redundant PAOX03 arrangement. It uses compression terminals on a size-B board; this record retains the complete 51304335-100 assembly marking.
MU-TAOX12 is the uncoated Honeywell field termination used for an eight-output PAOX03 analog arrangement with redundancy. Compression terminals connect the field loops, while the processor cables link the termination to the installed output hardware. Honeywell distinguishes this size-B board from the smaller TAOX02 nonredundant layout and the screw-terminal TAOX52 option. The catalog identity includes 51304335-100, which should be compared directly with the complete supplied assembly label rather than shortened to the family name.
For compatible PAOX03 operation, the published normal output range is 4-20 mA, with 750 ohms maximum resistive load at 22 mA. The redundant TAOX12 table specifies different disturbance durations for swap and failover: four milliseconds maximum during a swap and 125 milliseconds maximum during failover. These system figures do not mean that the termination alone provides a complete redundant output system. Check the processor paths, field receiver response, uncoated-board suitability and the 307.3 mm by 120.65 mm mounting footprint before service.
TAOX12 is the redundant eight-output termination arrangement in the manufacturer matrix. It uses a larger size-B footprint than TAOX02 and must be matched to the configured PAOX03 processor paths. The presence of the FTA alone does not prove that a complete redundant processor pair is installed.
For the PAOX03 and TAOX12 combination, Honeywell specifies a normal 4-20 mA signal, a directly accessible 0.1-21.4 mA range and a maximum output current of 26 mA. Distinguish the normal control range from these extended and limiting values when checking the field receiver.
Field wiring uses compression terminals on the uncoated board. Keep each loop conductor identified and restore the approved polarity and shielding after service. Check that the cabinet environment permits the MU construction and that the phone-style processor cable matches the installed termination assembly.
Identify the PAOX03 output processors and their cables before replacing the uncoated MU assembly. TAOX12 supplies the termination arrangement for eight field loops; it does not create sixteen outputs when redundant processors are fitted. Confirm the cabinet environmental requirement and the actual redundancy configuration, then compare the full 51304335-100 marking and terminal layout with the proposed replacement.
Preserve each output loop conductor, polarity and shielding connection at the compression terminals. Check that the field receiver accepts the specified signal and remains suitable for the published transfer behavior. Use the site-approved operating state during service and verify the affected actuator responses afterward; successful processor diagnostics do not by themselves prove that every field wire has been restored correctly.
