Features:
- Fail-safe 0(4)-20 mA analog input FTA (16 channels)
- The FS-TSAI-1620m module has sixteen analog input channels
- Enable monitoring of the external power connected to the FS-TSAI1620m module
The FS-TSAI-1620m Field Terminal Module (FTA) is the interface between field components (sensors, etc.) in the FSC system and the fail-safe high-density analog input module 10105/2/1. It can be used to connect signals from Class I Zone 2 hazardous locations.
The FS-TSAI-1620m module has 16 analog input channels for both safety-related and non-safety-related applications. These 16 channels (divided into two groups of eight, sharing a single 0V power supply) are connected via a System Interconnect Cable (SIC), which plugs into the SIC connector on the FTA module.
The FS-TSAI-1620m Honeywell Analog input module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The FTA module uses a universal snap-on mounting method, fits standard DIN EN rails, and is equipped with screw terminals for connecting power, ground, and field wiring. Each channel's input circuitry includes a high-precision resistor to convert the input current (0 to 20 mA) to the input voltage required by the high-density analog input module 10105/2/1. The analog transmitter is powered by a series resistor. Each analog signal has its own independent field cable shield terminal.
Safety-Critical Signal Conditioning: Interfaces to 0(4)–20 mA analog signals from sensors measuring critical process variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow.
Hazardous Location Interface: Certified for use in Class I Zone 2 hazardous locations, providing voltage and current limits to ensure safe operation in explosive environments.
Safety Loop Monitoring: Suitable for safety-related and non-safety-related applications in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, and power generation.
Power Distribution: Distributes power to field transmitters while monitoring external power sources to ensure system integrity.
