Features:
- Advanced SC S300 Safety Controller module
- Used within the Honeywell Safety Manager SC platform
- Designed to meet SIL 3 (Safety Integrity Level 3) requirements
The primary function of the FC-SCNT02 is as a logic solver for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), performing various safety functions, including Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas Monitoring (F&G), Burner Management System (BMS), and critical controls.
This module is SIL 3 certified for safety integrity and features enhanced processing power and larger memory capacity, designed to support more complex logic operations and advanced diagnostic functions.
The FC-SCNT02 Honeywell Safety Manager SC Controller may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

As an upgraded replacement for the FC-SCNT01, the FC-SCNT02 is fully backward compatible and introduces support for new features such as the DNP3 protocol. It supports hot-swapping (in-line replacement) and dual redundancy configurations, allowing module replacement without interrupting system operation, thus ensuring production continuity and high availability.
The FC-SCNT02 is designed for managing Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). Its core applications include:
- Emergency Shutdown (ESD): Monitoring sensors and immediately shutting down the process unit in hazardous situations.
- Fire and Gas (F&G) Systems: Integrating detection and suppression logic to protect personnel and assets.
- Boiler Management System (BMS): Controlling the safe start-up and operation of industrial boilers and furnaces.
- DNP3 Remote Station Support: This module is required if your application needs to use the DNP3 protocol (starting from R212) to transfer safety data to a SCADA or Experion server.
- Data Logging and Historical Database: It features enhanced memory for locally logging timestamped variable data, which can be used for reporting and troubleshooting.
