Overview Manuals Principle

Features:

  • I/O Companion Slot Cable Type
  • Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables
  • I/O Companion Slot, Internal, 40 Channel Input to FTA
This type of Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with analogue or digital input modules and is suitable for connecting input signals from an internal FTA to the module.

The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with two 96-way type ‘C’ connectors housed in a double-width hood. The other end of the cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a single-width hood enabling the cable to be connected to an FTA.

The TC-201-02-10M5 ICS Triplex Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
ICS Triplex TC-201-02-10M5 Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The multi-core cable is stripped back 1.5 m at both ends, then shrouded in nylon Rilgain sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are heated or fitted with over sleeving to help prevent fraying. At both the chassis and remote end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth. At the remote end, the multi-core screen drain is wired to a green wire to allow connection to screen earth.

Ask our team:

  • What is the defined system interconnection function of TC-201-02-10M5 within the Trusted™ I/O Companion Slot architecture?
The TC-201-02-10M5 is an engineered companion slot cable designed to interconnect Trusted™ processor modules with remote I/O or expansion chassis slots. Within the system topology, the TC-201-02-10M5 ensures deterministic data exchange, signal integrity preservation, and synchronized communication between modular control components over its 10-meter configuration.
  • How does the signal transmission design of TC-201-02-10M5 preserve data integrity across extended inter-module distances?
The TC-201-02-10M5 incorporates controlled-impedance conductors and shielded transmission pathways optimized to reduce signal attenuation, timing skew, and electromagnetic interference. Its architecture supports reliable digital communication between companion slots while maintaining protocol integrity under industrial noise conditions.
  • Why is the 10M5 length specification critical to maintaining timing synchronization and communication stability in TC-201-02-10M5 deployments?
The TC-201-02-10M5 is manufactured with a standardized 10.5-meter length to ensure predictable propagation delay and electrical impedance characteristics. Deviations from this calibrated length may introduce latency variation or signal degradation, potentially affecting synchronization between Trusted™ modules connected via the TC-201-02-10M5.
  • What conductor architecture and shielding methodology enhance electromagnetic compatibility in TC-201-02-10M5?
The TC-201-02-10M5 employs multi-conductor assemblies with shielding layers designed to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and cross-talk between parallel signal lines. This shielding strategy improves signal-to-noise ratio and preserves high-speed communication reliability within densely populated control cabinets.
  • What electrical performance parameters define the transmission capability of TC-201-02-10M5?
The TC-201-02-10M5 is engineered with defined voltage ratings, impedance stability, and controlled signal propagation characteristics. These parameters ensure that data signals transmitted across the cable maintain amplitude consistency and timing accuracy required for Trusted™ system operation.
  • Why is proper installation routing and bend-radius compliance essential for TC-201-02-10M5 performance optimization?
The TC-201-02-10M5 must be installed with controlled routing and minimum bend radius adherence to prevent mechanical stress on internal conductors. Improper installation may alter impedance characteristics or induce microfractures, compromising long-term signal stability and mechanical integrity.
