Overview Manuals Principle

Features:

  • I/O Companion Slot Cable Type
  • Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables
  • I/O Companion Slot, Internal, 40 Channel Input to FTA
This type of Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with analogue or digital input modules and is suitable for connecting input signals from an internal FTA to the module.

The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with two 96-way type ‘C’ connectors housed in a double-width hood. The other end of the cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a single-width hood enabling the cable to be connected to an FTA.

The TC-201-02-8M5 ICS Triplex Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
ICS Triplex TC-201-02-8M5 Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The multi-core cable is stripped back 1.5 m at both ends, then shrouded in nylon Rilgain sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are heated or fitted with over sleeving to help prevent fraying. At both the chassis and remote end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth. At the remote end, the multi-core screen drain is wired to a green wire to allow connection to screen earth.

Ask our team:

  • What electrical interconnection topology defines the signal transmission characteristics of TC-201-02-8M5 within the Trusted I/O companion slot framework?
The TC-201-02-8M5 is engineered as a dedicated companion slot cable facilitating deterministic signal routing between Trusted controller modules and distributed I/O assemblies. Its controlled impedance design, shielded conductor architecture, and predefined pin mapping ensure low-latency communication and signal integrity in safety-rated environments.
  • How does the structural construction of TC-201-02-8M5 enhance signal integrity under industrial electromagnetic interference conditions?
The TC-201-02-8M5 incorporates multi-layer shielding, twisted-pair conductor geometry, and robust insulation materials to mitigate electromagnetic coupling and conducted noise. These design features preserve data fidelity and minimize crosstalk when deployed inside electrically dense control cabinets.
  • How does TC-201-02-8M5 ensure deterministic communication between redundant I/O subsystems?
The TC-201-02-8M5 is designed to interconnect redundant processing or I/O slices through pre-engineered conductor assignments that preserve synchronized data exchange. Its controlled electrical characteristics prevent timing skew and maintain alignment across safety channels.
  • Why is connector engineering in TC-201-02-8M5 critical for mechanical reliability and system uptime?
The connector interfaces integrated into TC-201-02-8M5 are engineered with locking mechanisms and keyed alignment to prevent misconnection. Mechanical reinforcement at termination points reduces strain-induced failure, ensuring stable long-term intermodule connectivity.
  • How does TC-201-02-8M5 maintain compatibility with Trusted TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) system architectures?
The TC-201-02-8M5 is configured to align with Trusted TMR module pinouts and communication protocols. Its wiring schema preserves separation of safety channels while enabling synchronized data transport between triplicated processing domains.
  • Why is traceability and part-number configuration control essential for TC-201-02-8M5 deployment?
Because TC-201-02-8M5 operates within certified safety instrumented systems, accurate configuration management ensures compliance with system validation requirements. Documentation of revision level and length specification preserves functional safety verification integrity.
