Overview Manuals Principle

Features:

  • I/O Companion Slot Cable Type
  • Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables
  • I/O Companion Slot, Internal, 40 Channel Input to FTA
This type of Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with analogue or digital input modules and is suitable for connecting input signals from an internal FTA to the module.

The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with two 96-way type ‘C’ connectors housed in a double-width hood. The other end of the cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a single-width hood enabling the cable to be connected to an FTA.

The TC-201-02-12M5 ICS Triplex Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
ICS Triplex TC-201-02-12M5 Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The multi-core cable is stripped back 1.5 m at both ends, then shrouded in nylon Rilgain sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are heated or fitted with over sleeving to help prevent fraying. At both the chassis and remote end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth. At the remote end, the multi-core screen drain is wired to a green wire to allow connection to screen earth.

Ask our team:

  • What transmission topology and signal integrity architecture define the operational behavior of TC-201-02-12M5 within a Trusted I/O framework?
The TC-201-02-12M5 functions as a length-optimized companion slot cable engineered to sustain deterministic data exchange between Trusted I/O modules and processing units. Its impedance-controlled conductor layout and shielded transmission structure preserve signal integrity over a 12-meter propagation path while minimizing attenuation, skew, and latency deviations in safety-critical environments.
  • How does the extended 12-meter configuration of TC-201-02-12M5 influence propagation delay and timing synchronization?
Given its 12-meter electrical length, the TC-201-02-12M5 introduces predictable signal propagation latency that must remain within system timing tolerances. The cable design ensures controlled delay characteristics so that synchronized voting logic and real-time diagnostics in triplex architectures operate without phase misalignment or deterministic drift.
  • Why is impedance matching critical for TC-201-02-12M5 in high-speed Trusted I/O signal environments?
The TC-201-02-12M5 incorporates impedance-regulated conductors to align with the characteristic impedance requirements of the Trusted I/O communication bus. Proper impedance matching mitigates reflections, standing waves, and signal distortion, thereby preserving high-fidelity transmission across its 12-meter span.
  • What mechanical durability features characterize TC-201-02-12M5 for industrial deployment?
The TC-201-02-12M5 is engineered with reinforced insulation, strain-relieved connectors, and a mechanically resilient jacket to resist abrasion, flex fatigue, and connector stress. These attributes enhance longevity in cabinet-mounted, rack-mounted, or semi-flexible routing applications.
  • In what manner does TC-201-02-12M5 maintain compatibility with Trusted Triplex redundancy protocols?
The TC-201-02-12M5 ensures symmetrical electrical characteristics across redundant signal paths, preserving identical propagation delays and amplitude response for triplex voting mechanisms. Such uniformity is essential for maintaining fault tolerance and deterministic majority-based decision logic.
  • How does TC-201-02-12M5 preserve signal fidelity under thermal fluctuation and mechanical stress?
The material composition and insulation properties of TC-201-02-12M5 are selected to withstand temperature variation without altering dielectric constants significantly. This thermal stability prevents impedance drift and maintains consistent signal transmission behavior over extended operational cycles.
