Overview Manuals Principle

Features:

  • I/O Companion Slot Cable Type
  • Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables
  • I/O Companion Slot, Internal, 40 Channel Input to FTA
This type of Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with analogue or digital input modules and is suitable for connecting input signals from an internal FTA to the module.

The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with two 96-way type ‘C’ connectors housed in a double-width hood. The other end of the cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a single-width hood enabling the cable to be connected to an FTA.

The TC-205-02-10M5 ICS Triplex Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
ICS Triplex TC-205-02-10M5 Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cables Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The multi-core cable is stripped back 1.5 m at both ends, then shrouded in nylon Rilgain sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are heated or fitted with over sleeving to help prevent fraying. At both the chassis and remote end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth. At the remote end, the multi-core screen drain is wired to a green wire to allow connection to screen earth.

Ask our team:

  • What is the designated system connectivity function of TC-205-02-10M5 within the Trusted™ I/O companion slot communication framework?
The TC-205-02-10M5 is a certified companion slot cable engineered to interconnect Trusted™ controllers, processor modules, and distributed I/O chassis across extended cabinet layouts. Within the modular safety architecture, the TC-205-02-10M5 enables deterministic data exchange, synchronized system state communication, and fault-tolerant signal routing over its 10.5-meter transmission span.
  • How does the electrical transmission topology of TC-205-02-10M5 preserve high-speed signal integrity across extended inter-module distances?
The TC-205-02-10M5 incorporates controlled-impedance multi-conductor design and optimized shielding architecture to reduce signal attenuation, propagation delay distortion, and electromagnetic interference. Its engineered transmission pathway ensures stable digital communication between companion slots while preserving protocol accuracy and minimizing cross-talk in industrial environments.
  • Why is the 10M5 length specification technically critical for maintaining timing determinism in TC-205-02-10M5 installations?
The TC-205-02-10M5 is manufactured with a standardized 10.5-meter length to guarantee predictable signal propagation delay and electrical impedance characteristics. This calibrated length supports deterministic timing alignment between interconnected Trusted™ modules. Altering the specified length may introduce latency variation or signal reflection that impacts system synchronization.
  • What conductor configuration and shielding design enhance electromagnetic compatibility in TC-205-02-10M5?
The TC-205-02-10M5 utilizes precision-engineered multi-core conductors combined with layered shielding to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and reduce signal coupling between adjacent lines. This shielding strategy improves noise immunity and ensures stable communication performance in control cabinets populated with high-frequency switching devices.
  • What electrical parameters define the operational performance boundaries of TC-205-02-10M5?
The TC-205-02-10M5 is designed with defined voltage tolerances, controlled impedance values, and calibrated propagation characteristics. These electrical specifications ensure that transmitted digital signals maintain stable amplitude levels and accurate timing alignment necessary for secure companion slot communication.
  • Why is compliance with installation routing and bend radius requirements essential for TC-205-02-10M5 performance optimization?
The TC-205-02-10M5 must be installed with controlled bend radius and appropriate strain relief to prevent mechanical deformation of internal conductors. Improper installation may alter impedance stability or introduce microfractures, potentially degrading signal transmission reliability over time.
