      The MVI56E-MCM is an enhanced Modbus serial communication module developed by ProSoft Technology specifically for Rockwell Automation's ControlLogix systems.       The MVI56E-MCM features two fully independent configurable serial communication ports (P1 and P2), each freely switchable via onboard jumpers to support RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 hardware interfaces, and can be defined as a Modbus master or slave.

      Both ports share a user-defined database with a capacity of up to 10,000 words, supporting floating-point transmission (e.g., the Enron Modbus standard). Each port can efficiently poll up to 325 control commands, perfectly meeting the centralized interconnection needs of multi-standard serial networks within a factory. In terms of engineering integration and maintenance, the MVI56E-MCM offers exceptional ease of use.
