The MVI56E-MCMXT is designed specifically for the Logix-XT™ control platform, enabling it to operate in extreme environments. It can withstand higher operating temperatures and features a conformal coating to protect it from harsh or corrosive environments.

Belongs to the ProSoft series of network interface modules. This module features a single-slot 1756 ControlLogix-compatible backplane, a 4-character scrolling display, an alphanumeric LED display for status and diagnostic data (in simple English), a RIUP (hot start button) function, and a 10/100Mb Ethernet port (with automatic cable cross-detection) for network configuration and diagnostics.

The ProSoft MVI56E-MCMXT network interface module uses a non-volatile industrial-grade Compact Flash card design for storing network and module configurations, enabling rapid field module replacement via a transfer CF card. The ProSoft Configuration Generator provides a graphical configuration tool for quickly and easily manipulating the ProSoft MVI56E-MCMXT network interface module's configuration files and viewing module diagnostic information.
Note: When using the MVI56E-MCMXT, a 1756-A5XT or 1756-A7LXT chassis must be used. In these chassis, the spacing between modules is larger than in a standard ControlLogix chassis. Please insert blank spacers between active modules.
The “XT” (Extended Temperature) version is designed for a temperature range of -25°C to 70°C (-13°F to 158°F) and features a conformal coating. This makes it the standard choice for the following industries:
