The ABB PM590-ETH 1SAP150000R0271 module boasts up to 2 MB of onboard program memory and ultra-high-speed data processing capabilities (instruction cycles down to microseconds), making it ideal for complex process control, high-speed counting, and large-scale logic operations. According to the official engineering manual, this module has a very specific physical hardware layout:
Terminal base requirements: Module model 1SAP150000R0271 must always be mounted on a matching terminal base with the part number prefix 1SAPxxxxxxR0270 to ensure proper backplane pin alignment.
Expansion module limitations: The processor supports a local hardware stack consisting of up to 10 expansion I/O modules directly connected to its bus layout. This can accommodate up to 320 digital inputs and 160 analog inputs.
Equipped with 2 MB of internal user memory partition (total memory capacity up to 5,120 kB, of which approximately 2,048 kB is used for user programs and 3,072 kB for user data).
Integrated Communication Suite:
Onboard Ethernet: One RJ45 TCP/IP port with built-in web server functionality, SNTP time synchronization, and standard industrial protocols such as IEC60870-5-104.
Serial Communication: Two highly configurable serial interfaces supporting RS-232/RS-485 physical layers for programming or executing Modbus RTU/CS31 communication protocols.
