Features:
- Industrial Relay Board / Relay Interface Board
- Routing signals between the processing units and physical control components of an advanced distributed control system (DCS)
- Specialized industrial process environments
As the core connection between the low-voltage side of the control system and the high-voltage actuators in the field, the main function of this relay board is to amplify signals and provide electrical isolation. It converts the low-voltage, low-current control signals output by the controller into switching signals sufficient to drive high-power contactors, solenoid valves, or other industrial equipment, effectively preventing damage to the main control unit caused by complex electromagnetic interference and high-voltage backflow in the field.
In terms of system integration and reliability, this relay board boasts superior multi-signal processing capabilities and a modular, compact design. It features multiple independent relay channels, capable of simultaneously or independently processing multiple digital output (DO) or digital input (DI) signals, significantly enhancing the system's control loop. Furthermore, the PFUK108 YM110001-SH is manufactured using high-standard industrial-grade components, exhibiting excellent vibration resistance, high-temperature resistance, and a long mechanical life.
The PFUK108 YM110001-SH ABB Control Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

When searching for system schematics, bills of materials, or purchase orders, please note that ABB uses multiple overlapping internal model names for this circuit board when sending an inquiry: Hardware model: PFUK 108 or PFUK108; ABB official model: PFVK 108; Material/Product ID: YM110001-SH
The PFUK108 YM110001-SH employs electromagnetic induction and optical isolation technology. When the main control system (e.g., an ABB DCS) issues a control command, a low-voltage drive current flows into a specific channel on the circuit board.
First, an optocoupler converts the electrical signal into an optical signal, and then back into an electrical signal, thus physically severing the electrical connection between the low-voltage and high-voltage circuits.
Subsequently, the amplified current flows through the internal coil of the relay, generating a magnetic field around the coil that attracts the armature, causing the normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts of the relay to close or open.
This physical switching action of the contacts ultimately enables the connection and disconnection of external high-power circuits (e.g., 220V AC or high-current DC), completing the precise conversion from "logic digital commands" to "field mechanical actions."
