Features:
- Digital I/O Termination Unit/Input Module
- High-reliability distributed control system (DCS) of the ABB
- Used to establish a communication bridge between field process equipment and core control drives
As a core hardware bridge between automated control networks and field physical devices, its primary function is to acquire high-speed, high-precision signal data from multiple industrial sectors.
This module is widely used in power, water treatment, and various demanding process industries. It reliably connects physical electrical signals from remote sensors, various switches, limit detectors, and field actuators, providing underlying data support for the stable operation of the entire control system.
The PHAFIOFFH10000 WE-EN-01-161 ABB Digital I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Physical Structure: Utilizes a robust and compact green-background printed circuit board (PCB) design with onboard high-density integrated circuits, protective electronics, and dedicated terminal block sockets.
Interference Immunity Design: Optimized for harsh industrial environments, this PCB provides electrical isolation and effectively resists high electromagnetic interference (EMI), extreme temperatures, and mechanical stress.
Typical Applications: Widely installed in the inverter power units of ABB ACS800/ACS880 series high-voltage high-power frequency converters, or used as field signal receivers for specific process sections (e.g., vibration analysis, auxiliary process protection, and condition monitoring systems).
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Because this circuit board integrates integrated circuits and drive gate chips that are extremely sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD), anti-static wrist straps must be worn when performing field maintenance, disassembly, or replacement of spare parts. Otherwise, the circuit board can easily suffer permanent, insidious damage.
