- Point I/O 1734 line High-density input module
- Designed for precise measurements in various control systems
- This module supports non-isolated, single-ended current inputs, providing flexibility for various applications
The Allen Bradley 1734-IE4C, part of the Point I/O 1734 series, is a high-density input module. This component features four inputs supporting non-isolated single-ended current signal transmission. Users can configure the inputs to accept current values in the range of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 20 mA as needed.
Designed with accuracy at its core, this module achieves an absolute accuracy of 0.1% of full scale at 25 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for applications with extremely high precision requirements. Its input impedance of approximately 60 ohms ensures effective operation in a variety of environments.
The 1734-IE4C Allen Bradley Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The device employs a delta-sigma conversion method, improving the accuracy of signal resolution. Furthermore, its common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of -120 dB effectively filters out noise. Even in environments with high electrical noise, the module maintains signal integrity.
The module uses signed integer data format, making it compatible with various data processing systems. On-board status indicators clearly display the module's operating status, enhancing ease of use. Users can switch between different configurations using buttons; currently, the module is set to position 3.
Process Monitoring: Real-time acquisition of data from flow, pressure, temperature, or level sensors that output standard current loop signals.
Factory Automation: Integration of four-wire and two-wire field devices into centralized or distributed control systems.
Distributed I/O Systems: Used for remote control panels, reducing transmission distances of long analog cables by digitizing signals close to the source and communicating using protocols such as EtherNet/IP or DeviceNet.
Machine Interface Management: Provides high-precision (16-bit resolution) feedback for machine control loops.
