Analog output module from the ControlLogix product family. This module has eight (8) output channels configurable for +/-10VDC voltage and 0-20 mA current output signals, with resolutions of 21 mA - 650 nA/bit and 10.4V - 320 µV/bit, respectively. It can be used as a local or distributed I/O module.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-OF8 is an analog output module part of the ControlLogix platform. This analog module can be used to control and modulate electrical and field devices, transmit or retransmit signals for connection to measuring and recording instruments, or for any other purpose. The 1756-OF8 has eight (8) analog output channels configurable for +/-10VDC and 0-20 mA analog output signals. This module features 15-bit resolution across a current range of 21 mA - 650 nA and a voltage range of 10.4 V - 320 µV, and includes open-circuit, short-circuit, and overvoltage protection.

In operation, its offset drift is 50 ppm/°C and 0.1 ppm/°C, respectively, and its gain drift (current) is 25 ppm/°C and 50 ppm/°C, respectively. The module has a floating-point scan time of 12 ms and an integer scan time of 8 ms, with overall module errors of 0.15% (voltage mode) and 0.3% (current mode), respectively. The 1756-OF8 module employs reinforced insulation, with a 250V isolation voltage between the output channel and the backplane, and has been tested with 1350V AC for 2 seconds. It is available in T4A (North America), T4 (ATEX), and T4 (IEC) temperature ratings and features an open enclosure. The 1756-OF8 operates in the temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and is designed to withstand 30G shocks and 2G vibrations from 10 to 500 Hz.
