Product Information:

The 21000-34-05-00-040-03-02 is an external mounting protective cover assembly for the 21000 series metal eddy current probes manufactured by Bently Nevada. This assembly is a complete mechanically integrated hardware package, fully compliant with API 670 standards, and specifically designed for the bearing housing surfaces of large steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, and various high-pressure industrial pumps.

Its core design philosophy is to enable field maintenance personnel to safely perform clearance calibration, disassembly, cleaning, or complete replacement of internal probes directly from outside the machine without stopping machine operation or disassembling the machine housing, thus greatly simplifying the operation and maintenance process for daily dynamic monitoring of rotating machinery.

In actual industrial operation, this external protective cover assembly plays a crucial role in providing reliable mechanical and electrical protection. Its housing features an IP66 hermetic seal design, effectively preventing high concentrations of industrial dust, splashes, salt spray, and highly corrosive gases from penetrating and corroding the fragile internal coaxial joints. Simultaneously, its robust integral structure perfectly withstands the high pressures of internal machining, effectively preventing lubricant leakage from the bearing housing.

1.Global Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Hazardous Projects: Due to its built-in 3300 XL 8mm probe's multiple national explosion-proof certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CSA, etc.), many large international engineering contractors (EPCs) typically choose it as a standard component for direct deployment in Zone 1/0 and Zone 1 hazardous areas worldwide, such as chemical plants, oil refineries, or offshore drilling platforms, eliminating the need to replace hardware due to different explosion-proof regulations in target countries/regions.
2.Shaft Vibration and Displacement Monitoring for Standard Thickness Bearing Housings: The 4.0-inch sleeve depth is a classic gold standard in the rotating machinery field. It can penetrate medium-thickness machine housings or bearing housings, allowing the probe tip to be precisely aligned with the rotating shaft through internal baffles or structural components.
3.Critical Rotating Machinery Condition Monitoring System (TSI):
Permanently installed on the following high-risk, high-asset equipment:
Centrifugal/Axial Flow Compressors: Monitor radial vibration during high-speed operation to prevent bearing wear.
Industrial steam turbines/flue gas turbines: Monitor rotor axial position/thrust displacement to prevent severe dynamic and static friction caused by thrust bearing damage.
Large high-pressure feedwater pumps/blowers: Continuously track rotor dynamic characteristics.
