Features:
- 3300 XL 8 mm ETR Extended Temperature Range Proximity Probes
- 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
- 330194 3300 XL 8 mm Probe, M10 x 1 thread,with armor
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable4 with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.
The 330194-15-25-50-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm ETR Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 3300 XL 8 mm system is our most advanced eddy current proximity sensor system. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system fully complies with American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standards, meeting requirements in terms of mechanical construction, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity sensor systems achieve this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need for individual component matching or bench calibration.
The ETR series is designed for condition monitoring in areas exceeding standard temperature limits:
Steam Turbine Monitoring: Measures radial vibration and axial (thrust) position of the hottest parts of a steam turbine, where standard probes may not function properly.
Extreme High-Temperature Areas: Operates continuously at temperatures up to 218°C (425°F), making it ideal for gas turbine exhaust and high-temperature industrial compressors.
Harsh Environments: Integrated armor protects cables from physical damage and chemical corrosion in locations such as refineries, power plants, and chemical plants.
Hazardous Area Use: Fully certified (ATEX/IECEx/CSA) for use in potentially explosive environments common in heavy industrial settings.
