The Bently Nevada 330901-00-32-10-02-05 is a 3300 NSv proximity probe forming part of the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. The system is designed for centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors and other machinery where counterbore, side-view or rear-view restrictions make conventional proximity systems difficult to install. The NSv system is also intended for small-target applications, including radial vibration measurement on shafts smaller than 51 mm and axial-position measurement on flat targets smaller than 15 mm.
The probe uses a 1/4-28 UNF thread, 1.0 m probe length and standard 75 Ω FEP-insulated coaxial cable. The complete NSv system has an average scale factor of 7.87 V/mm, a 1.5 mm linear range from approximately 0.25 to 1.75 mm, and a typical frequency response of 0 to 10 kHz, +0/-3 dB. Bently Nevada also specifies ClickLoc connectors, TipLoc probe-tip construction and CableLoc technology for secure probe-cable attachment.

Compressor Monitoring — Used on centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors and process gas compressors where installation space is restricted.
Small-Shaft Machinery — Suitable for radial vibration or radial-position measurements on smaller shafts, subject to the specified target-size and shaft-diameter limits.
Thrust Measurement — Supports axial or thrust-position measurements where the target geometry meets the NSv system requirements.
Speed & Phase — Can be used for tachometer, zero-speed and Keyphasor phase-reference measurements within a compatible NSv system.
The 330901 probe is intended to operate as part of a complete 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System, consisting of the NSv probe, compatible NSv extension cable and 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor. The Proximitor accepts one 3300 RAM or 3300 NSv probe and extension cable.
The manufacturer states that the 3300 XL NSv design can replace 3300 RAM transducer systems and 3000-series or 7000-series 190 transducer systems. A 3300 RAM upgrade may retain the existing probe, extension cable and monitoring system in the circumstances specified by Bently Nevada, while upgrades from 3000/7000 Series 190 systems require replacement of the probe, extension cable and Proximitor Sensor with NSv components.
