Features:
- Operator Keyboard Interface Module
- Designed for use within the legacy TDC 3000 and TPS (TotalPlant Solution) Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- It plays a key role as a human-machine interface (HMI)
Its primary function is to facilitate the structured transmission of process data, control commands, and diagnostic information within the control network. By ensuring reliable communication paths, the 51403578-100 supports real-time monitoring of industrial processes, crucial for maintaining operational accuracy and system stability in complex automated environments.
In addition to its communication capabilities, the 51403578-100 significantly enhances system reliability and scalability. It supports seamless integration of multiple subsystems, allowing engineers to scale control architectures without compromising performance. The module also integrates diagnostics and signal processing capabilities, aiding in the detection of communication failures, data inconsistencies, and system anomalies.
The 51403578-100 Honeywell Operator Keyboard module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 51403578-100 then transmits the processed data to the central controller or monitoring system, enabling real-time control decisions. Simultaneously, it receives control commands from the controller and routes them back to the field devices. Through this bidirectional data exchange, the module ensures the precise, synchronized, and reliable operation of the entire control system.
This part is discontinued. Its function has been superseded by the newer 51402497-200 TDC 3000 keyboard model. Due to its age, many such parts are currently being sold on the secondhand market as "refurbished" or "scrap".
