The FS-PDC-MB24-1P is a high-reliability dedicated main power rail distribution cable for Honeywell safety management systems. Its primary function is to safely and efficiently deliver regulated 24V DC power from the control cabinet core power bus (FS-MB-0002 or MB-0001 main power rail) to downstream PDB-0824 or PDB-0824P distribution boards or field terminal assemblies (FTAs) equipped with specific Weidmüller power sockets.
This cable utilizes industrial-grade materials and a deeply reinforced mechanical structure, enabling it to withstand extremely harsh industrial operating environments. Its standard physical length is 145 cm (approximately 1.45 meters), perfectly fitting the side cable trays of standard 19-inch racks, effectively preventing mechanical stress damage during vertical installation. Internally, it employs large-diameter, high-purity dual-core copper conductors (CC600 2 x 6mm²) and is encased in a flame-retardant, oil-resistant PVC insulation sheath. This cable has obtained UL/CSA industrial safety certification and RoHS directive certification, ensuring long-term stable operation over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, as well as under conditions of high oil contamination and high vibration.
The FS-PDC-MB24-1P Honeywell Power Distribution Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Mains Power to Distribution Board Bridging: In standard safety racks, this cable delivers continuous 24VDC power from the mains power bus (FS-MB series) directly to the distribution board, preventing localized voltage drops.
Redundant Power Supply Stability: Its 10 AWG thick wire design minimizes resistance, helping to maintain stringent voltage parameters in high-density safety I/O configurations.
The FS-PDC-MB24-1P employs ultra-low internal resistance DC voltage equalization transmission technology and proprietary anti-misalignment insertion technology. When a high 24V DC current drawn from the upstream FS-MB-0002 main bus is input to the cable, its equipped D-TAB-200-STR clamping terminals maintain a micro-ohm contact resistance with the bus through a robust mechanical engagement; the current then flows into the ultra-thick multi-strand copper wire with a cross-sectional area of up to 6mm².
Utilizing the extremely high conductivity of the metal, the skin effect and voltage drop along the 145cm transmission path are compressed to near zero, thereby ensuring that the output voltage waveform is perfectly equipotentially aligned with the main bus. When current is delivered to the PDB-0824 distribution board, its Weidmüller BVZ 7.62HP connector achieves tight geometric interlocking through proprietary physical keyways.
This working principle not only prevents equipment burnout caused by manual reverse connection or incorrect voltage connection during multi-circuit maintenance, but also isolates transient radiated crosstalk generated by high-power frequency converters or relays within the cabinet through its built-in advanced electromagnetic shielding layer. Ultimately, it achieves high-fidelity, high-isolation, and safe power distribution within a secure system.
