Core Function & Compatibility
Features:
- Mounting Carrier (36 inch)
- The MCAR-02 is a carrier that can be screwed on any flat surface.
- The MCAR-02 can carry two IOTA-R24 assemblies
This carrier board boasts extremely high system integration, providing a highly stable and interference-free 24V DC core power supply for the entire safety bus, QPP (Quality Processing Unit), and various general-purpose safety I/O modules in industrial control systems through built-in hardwired logic and a robust physical architecture. It supports hot-swapping and fully redundant configurations, allowing for online replacement of faulty modules without interrupting the safety monitoring of the entire industrial system, thereby reducing the risk of unplanned downtime for critical systems to zero.
Through a dedicated interface, this device can immediately feed back fault signals such as overvoltage, undervoltage, or fuse tripping to the central control system, enabling early warning. Both its inputs and outputs employ high-level electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) filtering and surge protection designs, effectively isolating the impact of external power grid fluctuations on the internal sensitive control core.
The FC-MCAR-02 Honeywell Mounting Carrier (36 inch) may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The MCAR-02 consists of:
A Cable Carrier Assembly (CCA)
A metal profile
Two plastic cover plates
A ground rail with 32 ground connection screws
Two power rails with M5 holes (+24V and 0V)
Four mounting holes (use screws with a diameter <5.5 mm)
The power rails of two MCAR-02 carriers can be coupled. Use two M5 screws to connect the two power rials of the top carrier with the bottom carrier (through the 5 mm holes).
IOTA Integration: This module is designed to accommodate up to two redundant FC-IOTA-R24 components (i.e., the terminal component mentioned in your previous inquiry).
System Deployment: Connect the RUSIO-3224 or RUSLS-3224 general-purpose safety I/O module directly to the power and ground distribution network.
Modular Cascading: The onboard power rail can be directly connected to a second FC-MCAR-02 carrier board using M5 screws, enabling seamless vertical or horizontal system expansion.
