Features:
- Communication Interface Module
- Supports up to 4 Communications Interface modules per Trusted system rack
- Occupies a single standard controller or expander chassis slot
The communication interface, provides a range of communication services for the controller, minimizing communication loading of the TMR processor. The module allows communications with other Trusted systems, the engineering workstation and/or third-party equipment.
The module is user-configurable and can support multiple communication media. The module has dual Ethernet and four serial ports accessible from the rear using the T8153 communications interface adapter, along with a diagnostic port accessible from the front faceplate.
The T8151C ICS Triplex Communication Interface Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The communications interface can be installed in any single width slot of a controller or expander chassis. Only modules installed in the controller chassis will support peer to peer.
When adding or replacing communication modules in a running system, the following rules must be strictly followed to avoid configuration incompatibility:
1.Firmware Compatibility: The T8151C firmware must be fully or highly compatible with the system's main processor (MP) version.
2.Legacy Versions: The T8151C can directly replace older, unpackaged T8151 or T8151B versions.
3.Upgrade Procedure: If deploying an upgraded development toolset, the T8151C firmware should be systematically flashed to avoid communication blockage. Depending on the baseline code, communication blockage may require performing a structured system shutdown procedure.
