      The ICS Triplex TC-205-02-8M5 is a high-integrity industrial safety connection cable designed for Rockwell Automation's Trusted Tri-Modal Redundancy (TMR) platform. Unlike the TC-201 series for inputs, the TC-205 series is designed for 40-channel digital or analog output modules, transmitting processed safety commands from the logic chassis to the field.

      The ICS Triplex TC-205-02-8M5 is a critical infrastructure component deployed in high-risk industries such as oil and gas refining, chemical manufacturing, and power generation to support emergency shutdown (ESD) and fire and gas (F&G) systems. This cable model has a physical length of 8.5 meters (indicated by the suffix 8M5) and features a low-smoke halogen-free (LSZH) outer sheath insulation.

      This configuration (-02) offers superior flame retardant performance and is IEC 60332-3 Class A certified, making it ideal for secure cabling within cabinets or adjacent wiring closets, eliminating the risk of toxic gas leaks in the event of a fire. In terms of its structure, the chassis end adopts a double-wide shell design and is equipped with two 96-pin C-type connectors, while the remote end connects to a 96-pin R-type connector on the Free Terminal (FTA) end.

      This type of Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with analogue or digital input modules and is suitable for connecting input signals from an internal FTA to the module.

      The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with two 96-way type ‘C’ connectors housed in a double-width hood. The other end of the cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a single-width hood enabling the cable to be connected to an FTA.

      The multi-core cable is stripped back 1.5 m at both ends, then shrouded in nylon Rilgain sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are heated or fitted with over sleeving to help prevent fraying. At both the chassis and remote end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth. At the remote end, the multi-core screen drain is wired to a green wire to allow connection to screen earth.
      This cable is typically used to connect 40-channel trusted output modules to corresponding terminal blocks, including:
      Compatible modules: T8444 (24 Vdc digital output), T8451 (analog output), T8461 (24 Vdc digital output), and T8471 (120 Vdc digital output).
