In case of overload, the bimetallic strip inside the circuit breaker heats up and bends due to increased current, ultimately triggering the tripping mechanism and disconnecting the circuit. In case of short circuit, the magnetic coil generates a strong electromagnetic force, instantly activating the tripping mechanism and disconnecting the circuit almost immediately. This dual protection design enables the circuit breaker to quickly and reliably interrupt dangerous currents.
