- Ethernet network TCP/IP module
- Modicon Quantum automation platform
- Transparent ready, 750mA at 5VDC, class C30
Primarily used for high-speed data exchange and network interconnection between industrial automation systems and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. As a network interface unit for PLCs, this module can publish process data, status information, and diagnostic data from within the controller via industrial Ethernet, thereby achieving transparent communication between the control and monitoring layers.
Its design emphasizes high-bandwidth communication capabilities and industrial-grade reliability, enabling stable operation in complex network environments and supporting multi-node device access, thus improving the overall scalability and information integration capabilities of the system.
The 140NOE77111 Schneider Electric Ethernet Network TCP/IP Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 140NOE77111 operates based on the data encapsulation and forwarding mechanism of the industrial Ethernet protocol stack. This module, through its built-in network processing unit, maps the PLC's internal data to the communication register area, encapsulates the data according to standard protocols such as TCP/IP, and then sends it to network nodes. Simultaneously, it continuously monitors access requests from the host system, parses read and write instructions, and maps them to the PLC memory, thereby achieving bidirectional data interaction. This process relies on real-time network protocol processing, data buffering mechanisms, and communication task scheduling to ensure stable, efficient, and reliable data communication in industrial network environments.
This module is widely used in large infrastructure and process industries, including:
- Water treatment and petrochemicals: Long-distance fiber optic communication and remote diagnostics are crucial in these industries.
- Energy and mining: Provides reliable, redundant networks for critical power and mining systems.
- Infrastructure: Enables powerful automated control in fields such as airport systems, tunnels, and metallurgy.
